Taking care of someone who can no longer take care of themselves can become overwhelming. St. Francis Home Care is there to assist in any way we can. Through our comprehensive Care Assessment and evaluation of an individual’s activities of daily life (ADL), we can determine exactly how much care and assistance your loved one may need. Our recommendations consider all factors that contribute to an individual’s quality of life. There are a variety of personal care services available to provide compassionate, reliable care for your loved one.
- Skilled Nursing Services
- Home Health Aide
- Home Companion
- Hospital Sitter
- Home Counseling
Skilled Nursing Services
Skilled nursing professionals, RNs or LPNs, provide hourly care or intermittent visits for clients who may require medication administration, tube feedings, wound care, tracheotomy and ventilator care, just to name a few. Often, a Care Plan may recommend an additional nursing presence just to follow any changes in status.
Home Health Aide/CNA
A Home Health Aide or a Certified Nursing Assistant provides hands-on care and assistance in the areas of personal grooming, ambulating, exercise, meal preparation or light housekeeping and laundry. The type of assistance provided on any given day depends on the client’s needs.
Home Companion
In the home setting, the Companion is “company” for the client. The Companion assures safety and can provide guidance. A Companion is a non-professional employee, trained to offer services in the home setting, including:
- Companionship
- Hospital Sitting
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Meal preparation
